At Hilbig GmbH, our customers and their requirements are our main focus. Our goal is not only to deliver high-quality products, but to collaboratively develop the right solution for every application. Technical expertise, reliability, and partnership-based cooperation form the foundation of everything we do.

With a dedicated team of around 25 employees, we develop, manufacture, and distribute fastening systems and welding technology for international shipbuilding as well as numerous industrial applications. Short decision-making paths, high flexibility, and direct dialogue with our customers enable us to fulfill custom requirements quickly and reliably.

As Managing Director, it is particularly important to me that we support our customers over the long term. For me, this means understanding challenges, communicating openly, and working together to develop economically and technically compelling solutions. Sustainable partnerships are built on trust, quality, and the commitment to get a little better every day.

Our History. Our Future.

Since our founding in 1985 by Mr. Hilbig, Hilbig GmbH has developed from a small family business into a reliable partner in international shipbuilding. Continuous development, technical innovations, and close cooperation with our customers have defined our company for over 40 years – and continue to form the foundation of our actions today.

1985

Founded in Hamburg

Hilbig GmbH is founded by Mr. Hilbig in Hamburg. The goal: to develop and supply high-quality fastening systems for industrial applications. The foundation for a technical success story is laid.

1993

Start of In-House Production

In-house manufacturing begins in Neukloster. With this step, Hilbig strengthens quality assurance, flexibility, and independence in production.

2002

First Own Production Hall

With the construction of a modern production hall in Neukloster, Hilbig creates the conditions for further growth and efficient series production.

2015

Relocation to Seevetal

The new company location near Hamburg unites administration, warehouse, and workshop under one roof — compact, efficient, and future-proof.

2019

Expansion of Production

To meet growing demand, the production hall in Neukloster is expanded. Manufacturing capacities increase significantly.

2022

A Fresh Wind in the Sails

With the departure of Malte Seyen as a shareholder and the entry of Aehrensberg GmbH, a new chapter begins with a focus on long-term development and stability.

2023

Niklas Weiß Takes Over Management

After more than 30 years of active involvement, Malte Seyen also retires from executive management. Niklas Weiß takes over the leadership, bringing fresh momentum while building on the company's proven strengths.
